  • You aren't looking at the actual data. I've looked at it consistently. Let me lay it out for you. Every income subset all the way up to the top 1% pays more income tax than subset below it.

  • I grew up poor in a little village in Texas. I sacrificed through hard work and study my entire life while others were sniffing paint and screwing around. I never cheated anyone. I never had to act unethically. I never had to take a government bailout. I never had to take government loans.

  • We need reforms but the Obama plan is exactly the opposite of what needs to occur. His plan increases costs but shifts them to taxpayers away from business. Needless to say, business loves his plan. You need real reform.

  • It doesnt matter to the context of the speech, but it doesnt make sense to argue that it is "give back" as opposed to the correct "get back".  "Get back" is a clear reference to racial segregation and the bus boycott.  There is no reason for him to argue that blacks need no longer …
